TERMS AND CONDITITONS
Judging:
- Submissions must be complete by April 28th, 2024. Winning submissions will be posted on the website by May 12th, 2024. Prizes will be awarded by check through mail.
- Judging results by the jury are final and not subject to review, including review by a court. Contestants agree to decisions made by the jury selected by the nonprofit. Contestants release the nonprofit and the jury from any claims and liability.
Art Entry Requirements:
- Competition Theme: Must be closely aligned to the stated ‘Competition Theme’ and capture the essence of the competition
- Talent and Perfection are Secondary: Content/Ideas/ Capturing the Competition Theme is Primary
- Realistic rather than abstract: Competition welcomes symbolism and creativity, but is intended to be realistic rather than abstract in nature. Painting/drawing/photography/30 second short videography, medium combinations, etc. are all welcome. Digital artwork and AI generated artwork is also welcome but will be judged separately and for different levels of prizes.
- Original: Each piece must fully be an original.
- Digital Copy: Submission is accomplished by uploading a high quality digital copy of sufficient quality to reproduce a 12” x 16” print (whether video or images). Do not submit images of your artwork which contain watermarks.
- Original Copy: Artwork originals must be given upon request to the competition host prior to the winnings being distributed. Shipping cost will be reimbursed.
- Art Gallery: Artwork may be posted on this website once the competition judging is finished. Student First Name & School & Description may be displayed in the gallery along with the artwork.
- Description: Please provide a short description (around 3 sentences) of the art work.
- Other Conditions: Artists less than 18 years old must include a parental (or guardian) consent at time of submission. Must be a US resident and in high school (or equivalent).
- Copyright: For non-AI generated artwork you agree to release the work to the Public Domain subject to Creative Commons CC0 as described below. For AI generated artwork you sign that Mission Sharing has permission to reproduce, distribute, sell, or promote images of the artwork or derivative images.
By entering this art competition the artist waives all copyright and related or neighboring rights together with all associated claims and causes of action with respect to this work to the extent possible under the law.
